Because the show needed them in the first 4 seasons, and now they either aren’t needed for the show to succeed or their contracts are over. They have the freedom to leave and do other things.
Why are they all leaving NOW? Why didn’t they leave this rapidly in seasons 1-4?
They move onto bigger and better stuff? The show is still good, with plenty of enjoyment episodes this season, but people still look for bigger and better stuff. Would you blame someone to leave Wander over Yonder to work on Star Wars?
The other possibility is that the show has rotted so much that they think there’s no point in working on it anymore.
Can you blame them? The Pie Family rocks!
Yup, three commenters that will bitch whenever Maud’s name is brought up. Heck, I could even write their names here.
All of the other commenters will gush over her and make rock puns.
“everyone”
Who is this “Everyone” Because i’m not a part of that “Everyone”
No, a vocal minority thinks they’re bad. And again, their opinion is not necessarily the same as the opinion of the old writers.

@Ihhh
Not just me. Everyone else thinks they’re bad.
Thrown out? What are you talking about? The old writers were not fired, laid off, or otherwise coerced into no longer writing. They’re freelancers. Also, just because you think the new writers are hacks doesn’t mean that the old writers think the same.

Yeah, can we just move on to what they want to do instead of clinging on to them like we’re holding them hostage? PS. I seriously doubt Hasbro purposefully kicked them out.
To move onto bigger and better things?
Because they can make more money writing for higher profile clients?
So the writers just wanting to leave to work on other shows doesn’t make sense
It’s the only explanation that makes sense. Why would these old writers willingly leave the show in the hands of a bunch of inexperienced newbie hacks?
Are you seriously still doing this stupid hasbro throws out good writers bullshit
I’m not one of them. Maud is a character that’s slow and doesn’t display emotions in a traditional sense, and has plenty of potential, especially if she has someone like Pinkie to bounce off.
The Equestria Daily commenters seem to find Maud overused.
That’s the Mane Six you’re thinking of. Maud had three or so episodes.
And of course, he has to waste his last episode on Maud, one of the most overused and worn-out characters.
