My gosh. I’d heard about things like that, but I thought it was all a joke.
Yup, which is how they can get away with it because anyone with some common sense will see a mess of trash and go “that’s trash”.
Those jokes have always been around ,obligatory “Simpsons did it”
Honestly, the current art scene is atrocious so this was a rather apt documentation/commentary ,ESPECIALLY the trash can because numerous times, “art” has been thrown in the garbage because it IS garbage.
Decorating a room for a party, tearing half of it down and leaving it there. Poop in a can. Trash in bags in a corner. A several ton boulder. Not chiseled into any nice shape or made of a nice material, just a several ton rock. Lets not forget the whole “exclusive club mentality” of “dude… this is just garbage.” getting a response of “YOU just don’t UNDERSTAND it because you’re an uncultured cretin!”
So, yeah, I’m gonna say a pretty self aware commentary.
