I love how season 7 just seems so much more fluid and paced this time around. I bet we’ll be in for more loved episodes this season. Plus with episode 200 coming up soon, I hope they do something like they did with episode 100.

Leader of the G4 purists
The headcanon that Celestia does in fact have emotions was confirmed finally, but nothing new was added. Twilight reverted to her crazy panic mode, and nothing new was added.
 
As far as pushing the series along, this episode did nothing. One might even call it filler. But sometimes an episode is just nice even if nothing happens. And I liked this episode.

Other than her laughing and ending monologue she really was just standing there. I think she had same amount of interaction as MMC and with her song but simply more actual screentime.

I think their fans expected more than this. She barely had more screentime than in MMC. It’s still not a full “Celestia episode” as it was shared with Twilight, Discord and Starlight.
