Well…
But…
You see…
Dammit, she has a point…
SRS (Sexual Reassignment Surgery) doesn’t cut the penis off, it uses all parts of it, to retro-morph it into a vagina. In utero we all start with an in-between organ and a hormone signal tells it to go one way or another. SRS tries to best revert this process as much as is possible after the fact.
This is my headcanon now.
that’s is the question I would really like to ask her now
Edited
I interpreted that as MTF not as FTM
she is overall too feminine to be a female to male.
People say that was the reason why originally Trixie had a single reflection on her eyes which was later changed to the default female two reflections, I personally wish they hadn’t change it at all the single reflection was like her unique Trademark
No, Hasbro wasn’t the the one to change it.
Chris Savino came up with her, and there has been nothing to say her gender was change.
The plan was to have a male(unnamed and not described beyond “boastful unicorn”), then it was change at some unknown point to Trixie.

Yes Faust originally intended her as a male, but Hasbro changed it later.
Also considering that Lauren Faust said that one character in s1 is Trans, this makes ever more sense.
Yes and no.
Faust had said how Boast Busters originally called for boastful unicorn that was envisioned as male, but not that Trixie was created first as a male.
Yes, they were originally going to have a male character in her place.
Earlier drafts of the script had her as a male.
Yes.
In her first two episodes: one eyeshine, just like the stallions.
