AA started out as a self-indulgent joke blog and it took me a while to get a feel for the story I wanted to tell. I was only just getting started deconstructing Aqui as a character when Life intervened. Good riddance, I’m sure most people would say.
 
Aqui was always meant to be supremely unlikable. Think of him as a pony LeBron James. He’s got looks, talent, success, the works. Some people hate him – and not without reason, because LeBron is kind of a douchebag. But some people love him, because when he’s on YOUR team, it means they’re usually winning.

I used “Aquilinus” as my Ponibooru handle so it would be understood that the Tumblr mod was the one uploading the comics.

Well it was 6am wend I wrote it but hey people overacted far worst over long deader stuff.

Poor spelling and overreacting to a tumblr that effectively died 8 months ago… Really?
 
I mean, criticizing the sexually-charged content is all fine and good, but don’t go beating a dead horse. It’s kinda touchy since the mod was part of the Ponibooru crowd and used to respond to input there.

Well I’ve been doing a Celestia tumblr and the first thing I’ll do if this asshat is ever brought up is say that he was fired in a week for about a dozen things and that he lied about ever single thing he said.
 
Like that retarded griffin war his greatgrandpa was in was really just some trade agreement that him and the griffin villain worked on and in a hammy way acted like it was an epic battle. (Kinda like in Star Terk where they meet a well respected Klingon lawyer who saw the court as his battlefield)

See, it would be much more entertaining if he believed himself higher than anyone else when in actuality he’s just average. He’d wonder why everyone hates him, right after he does things to make people hate him and blames his inability to integrate with society on others when in fact it’s his own fault.

hell you could say his selling photos is what allowed the Changelings to kidnap Cadance and allow there invasion to take place (information leak, odd things just handwaved as one of his pranks)

Yeah, wasn’t a very realistic character.
 
If you’re going to go for the whole “he’s a jerk” thing, make it so that he’s a complete hypocrite who both sees himself better than society yet also wishes to integrate with it. Makes it slightly more interesting.

I thought all Sues were immediately likable and unrealistically perfect. This one seemed just to be characterized as really, really smug.

Shining Armor really just is a more interesting character IMO than this guy, and I can say that after seeing him in only two episodes. The tumblr did have nice art, though.

I’m not, he was a smug misnoganitic sue and a lot of worldbuilding was stupid like criminals are boardline awarded for committing crimes (they join the guard and get S&M “Punishment”
