Jealousy begets resentment. Resentment begets hatred. Hatred begets violence. Rifts form, even between the closest of kin. Even when we don’t know the crevices of separation are being born before our very eyes, we lose those closest to us. Loss has no mercy for the unobservant.

Basically, Celestia got all the stuff and Luna was jelly, so she seethed and wallowed in her own self-pity. Big Sis didn’t notice in time, and thus never confronted the issue, which is what led to Nightmare Moon, Luna’s extended vacation to the moon, yadda yadda yadda.
I won’t lie, this took me forever. On top of that I had a hard time pulling through, since I couldn’t decide if I wanted to keep going so that I could see the finished product or rip all of my hair out. =P (Razz)
Anyhow, I really liked how it turned out, and I hope all you fellow Deviants do as well.
