I think… as far as texture goes it’s okay, and one possible improvement might be to have light to shadow a sharp transition on the boundary of the upper hair, but a smooth transition on the hair that upper hair is shadowing. I don’t know how to get that effect on a large scale, but it explains why her chest fur looks funny, more like diamond shaped grooves than fur laying on top of itself. if the shaded fur went more smoothly from dark to light, but the jump to the edge of the upper hair ws a sharp transition, it would make the edge of the upper hair more apparent, making it look more like hair.
 
really it seems like overdoing it a bit. just focus on getting the edges right, and only hint at the textures within large uniform areas, and I think you’ll have the best effect. filling in detailed texture, where there’s no transition, just makes it look noisy, and is (IMO) wasted effort.
