Sunset Shimmer finds herself a real demon who has her in his sights, a great marquesse of Hell with legions under his command. He finds use in Shimmer who he has restored her magic and has great plans for Equestria to please his Lord the Defiler of all life. Sunset has no savior in this, but she will do everything she can to save Equestria from the Dazzlings and the evil within her.
Demon possession is often trippy.

This is not a spoiler since it has been up for read for a while now. Andras has gone after Arcana prison guards aka unicorn mages in the human world since they started banishing criminals to it long ago. Having tasted Equestrian magic he hitched along with Sunset when she went through the portal. His age old job was to at first kill mages who summoned him, if they were smart and protected themselves they used him to win wars or start them. Andras is a demon who plans to instead begin them himself in Equestria and seek the souls of the powerful magicians of Equis using his host to get him places while he gives her a source of magic through him. He has a great scheme planned, going to have to wait to see it piece by piece though.

no, Andras has merely possessed her and plans to start war in Equestria as is his status as the Demon he is. He incites aggression and kills magicians.
