Do you mean darker the Harry Potter gets at time, if so then I may have to look at it.  
Also being dark doesn’t mean it’s not children’s literature, as that only means it’s under the level to be classified as being for teens, I think we need more dark stuff for kids.

I haven’t looked at any children’s literature newer then Harry Potter, and only that from the fact I had an assignment to read them in high school, so any series made late 2005 or after I don’t know of if it wasn’t also made into a movie.
