“I’ve got to admit, out of all of the main cast characters, I like Pinkie Pie the most. (I cannot believe I just said that)
 
She’s the most enthusiastic of the whole group, and she’s also the most animated. There’s never a moment where you don’t know what mood she’s in (though I believe her default setting is ‘happy’).
 
I originally thought that she would just end up being the bubbly, hyperactive crazy one that everybody else puts up with, but her character is actually entertaining to watch.
 
The upper-right sketch with the rollercoaster was originally intended to be just a shot of her smiling really big, but it sort of evolved on it’s own to what you see there. It certainly lends credibility to the theory that she’s gaining self-awareness (it also wouldn’t surprise me).”
