Np. Glad you take it well.
Here’s a thing I just made, actually, focusing on different ways the eyes look:
Then I realized that wasn’t a helpful angle, really, since you need a bit of an angle off from directly in-front. So I made some more, though this was a little wonky since the original vector I made had a lot of her eye hidden from glasses, so the eye wasn’t done quite as well as it should’ve been… But nonetheless, still kind of showing how different position in the eye can give the impression of focusing on objects at different distances.
With lines showing the eye focus.
Close object, somewhat distant object, super distant object/infinity, and then derp/fish eyes.
Just in case you’re curious, my source vectors :p
What you’ve got here isn’t too bad. It’s somewhere in-between the somewhat distant/infinity, and the irises seem a bit small, but not quite the “adrenaline rush” small.
Just looks kinda like Sunset just read a Pinkie Pie text and kind of zones out like “the heck did I just read?”
Thank you, that’s very helpful advice actually.
Still a better human than I could draw, though. I’d just suggest using eye highlights, making the iris/pupils a bit bigger (less white space in eyes), and focusing the eyes ever so slightly - it’s hard to get it just right so they’re not crossed or derped, but it’s important to make it look like they’re focusing at a nearby object rather than a thousand yards away.
