Oh no I understand you. It’s all silly in the end, the question is what’s your poison of “silly?” Me, I like Twilight as Medic because not only does the Medics’ skills lend themselves better to her own, but let’s be honest, no one can rock the mad scientist vibe like Twilight.

Making two characters the same class - especially under different loadouts - is just silly. Besides, there’s no reason why Twilight couldn’t rock the Combat Engineer setup. It’s literally using science to fight your enemies.

But personally, I see Twilight more as a Medic because a few reasons. First, his ubercharges could easily pass for magic spells, same goes for the projectile shield and reanimators in MvM. Second, on a more aesthetic level, the Medic rocks the mad scientist vibe with a healthy mix of medicine and technology while the Engineer is mostly just machines.

She certainly works as Medic, but I do think she seems like a better Engie. Though, it is pretty obvious why people have Applejack as Engineer, perhaps Applejack could be a different style of Engineer compared to Twilight. Twilight could be a defence focused Engineer with the Rescue Ranger and Wrangler who keeps a close eye on her metal, while AJ is more of a frontline/battle Frontier Justice & Gunslinger kind of Engineer

I dunno, just my thoughts.

I never got the entire “Twilight” and “math?” argument. I mean, yeah she’s smart, but why only focus on “math” specifically? I’d be less focused on Engineer being “good at math” and more at the fact he has access to teleportation technology and knows how to fit people with a machine that makes them functionally immortal. Math is fine and dandy and all, but between a mathematician and a super scientist, I’m going to assume the super scientist is smarter.

Personally, I prefer Twilight more as the Medic though, because from a gameplay standpoint the Medic works well when the player micromanages their healing to keep as many people alive as possible, which itself means cooperation, strategic implementation of ubercharges, and takes a more active role in pushing the team to their goal – after all, a good Medic can make or break a team.

Don’t get me wrong, Twilight makes more sense as the Engineer than, say, the Sniper, but even so, the Medic just seems more fitting.

Am I the only one who thinks Twilight would make a better Engineer?

Engineer is all about super complicated maths, metal management, cooperation, and frequently involves sitting behind the lines chilling (perfect time to read), sounds like Twilight’s thing.
