Description
Chaos and Equality,
Villains of poor quality,
Turn to tree and foam!
Gone from our sight,
Praise virtue and might!
Never to threaten our home.
When Majesty got word that Discord was loose again, she set out to correct Celestia’s mistake. Along the way she learned of a pony foolish enough to tamper with time and space. Clearly, Equestria needed some tidying up.

majesty: What? They’re villains!
Me: yeah but that doesn’t mean you KILL THEM!
SQUID GAMES!
Okay, I can see Stardust. But not Fantomah?
Diamond dog: “yeah! unicorn pony need to get lost!”
Discord is a bitch. He has a huge lose streak against opponents who should be easy for him to defeat. We also know that he is not exempt from anti-magic to nullify his powers and that he can be affected by other characters magic. He did afterall get turned to stone in the first place.
Of course, this is a “not allowed to go full throttle” situation, since otherwise there wouldn’t be a show. Imagine if in Samurai Jack, Aku simply scooped up the ground underneath Jack and flung it into space. Discord could have done any number of things to immediately win, but if he did there would be no show. If we are going to be logical, whoever strikes first wins, Majesty disintegrates Discord or something or Discord shoots Majesty into the sun…
I’d like to think that majesty was an important figure in the ancient past of the g4 world and that although she’s long gone there are still plenty of ponies in the world who follow her knight templar (The TV tropes definition) beliefs in exterminating any and all evil without hesitation or negotiations who call themselves the disciples of majesty. (Unoriginal name I know but it’s the best my brain can come up with at midnight.)
Oh, that makes sense.
The wording threw me off as it seemed like the people who liked the arcs, pr are at least ambivalent to them, would be most put off by these.
But if it’s meant to be more of a satire to the cons of the arcs that makes more sense.
No, Majesty is the villain of this particular series, and likely a stand-in for those who dislike these redemptions.
That said, apparently Silver Quill is the artist, so I may be overreacting.
I think you mean like the redemption arcs’, though I might just be misunderstanding what you mean.
Edited because: Autocorrect...
Back in G1 the only villain who was able to defeat, and by defeat I mean “kill”, Majesty was the original Tirek with the Rainbow of Darkness.
Majesty reflects the spell back to Twilight
Majesty:Why are you fighting me princess? I have punished the god of chaos and the mear who messed with Starswirl’s timetravel spell, they’re villains and balance must be preserved.
Sounds about right for Discord, haha
I’m thinking more ‘Stardust the Super Wizard’ myself.
