You guys do realize that Starlight would hear all of these stories from Twilight’s point of view, right? So this is basically how Twilight interpreted the lessons or reinterpreted them in order to teach Starlight. I mean, she’s written down enough of her lessons in letters and the journal and knowing Twilight, she would likely give them to Starlight in order to teach her.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it now. Starlight Glimmer is delusional, deranged and dangerous.
He was testing a friendship alright. Twilight’s friendship with Cadance, that is, and he did to damage it. Look at how annoyed he is when it turns out they still bonded over it.
