same here xD in my headcanon though, he went to canterlot for a special (and harsh) training. And that was when he became good as a sniper. But it also changed him in a psychological way. He didn’t became arrogant or “sociopath”, but he was more serious and more calm as a result. He also got to be sunburst’s friend and also, when he wasn’t on duty, play with flurry heart

You know the you describe Flash’s abilities makes me think Deadshot from Suicide Squad. I can just picture Flash doing what Will Smith did at the target range during practice just to show off.
not on the royal guard it seems. And seeing how this is a kids show i think a crosbow that makes arrows go as fast as bullets with a professional scope is the closest we could get. And yeah, an above average flighter is perfect for him after all, he gotta have his agility on check (he’s also very fast to find targets due to his perception)
I always thought he would be at least an above average fighter. I mean why else would he be trusted to guard a princess?
Also maybe he’d use a black powder rifle instead of a crossbow. They do have cannons after all.

On my headcanon he’s not that strong, but what he lacks of strength he has of agility and perception. That makes him great with a crossbow, he’s a sniper. That would also mean that he would serve very well as (you guessed it) a sentry
