Allspark Pictures is a self-finance/co-finance film division/company of Hasbro, they won’t replace DHX Media and its Vancouver animation studio (even if the studio does the movie with a different software than EG and the show).
 
Maybe Allspark is the rebrand for Hasbro’s film division due to the productions of the Jem movie (which sucked) and Ouija Origin of Evil (the first Hasbro movie to be praised by critics thanks to Mike Flanagan. See Oculus for example.) being co produced by ASP. Unless other movies won’t be produced or associated by it but by its parent company.
 
And the name took from the Allspark, a device from the Transformers. (which unlike MLP R34, it gets away with a PG-13 film rating for the movies and a web series for adults by Machinima, even though both were criticized.)

The indie film thing was a comparison. I already said that I didn’t bother to memorize what Allspark does. I can’t speak for anypony else about whether they know what film or TV companies do what.

That doesn’t answer my question. Why would people just assume that allspark was an animation studio that would take over for DHX? This is not an indie film.

An example of this, the game producer Humble Hearts is founded by and consists of one man named Dean Dodrill. His hit fantasy-adventure platformer, Dust: An Elysian Tail, is produced entirely by him, with the only external employment being HyperDuck Soundworks, a two-man team who composed the game’s soundtrack, and the voice actors and actresses who bring the game’s characters to life. (One such voice actress happens to be Eileen Montgomery, well known in our community for her music, art and voices)

Not everyone knows what the purpose is of each of the companies in the openings of most major films. I’d hazard some of those companies at the beginnings of smaller stuff like indie films are in actuality one person, the director or producer or cameraman or some shite. lol

Where does the idea that all spark is an animation studio even come from?

Yup. Allspark Pictures is essentially the management side of Hasbro Films, while DHX Media handles the actual studio production.

I admittedly don’t bother to memorize some things, but I had suspected. I guess DHX does the animation as they have before, while Allspark does the production and general managerial stuff?

It may or may not be more efficient to use the software Allspark is using, Toon Boom instead of Flash… Eh. :3
