I’d wait until the next series for an overarching Myth Arc. Switching format mid series never ends well, and FiM was formatted to be an episodic slice of life kids show.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that I would’ve enjoyed Lauren Faust’s original ideas/storylines better than what the show has delivered since she left (which, to be clear, I’ve generally enjoyed quite a bit); however, what she wanted for the first couple of seasons was altered significantly at Hasbro’s request, and I suspect they would’ve required enough changes to her subsequent plans that I can’t say for sure the end product would be better or worse than the actual post-s2 episodes.

Anyways, neat as her ideas sound, the grass is always greener on the other side.
 
Personally, I kinda like more slice of life stuff. And Celestia. Long live the princess!
 
Better continuity and stuff that holds up better to scrutiny would be ideal, but the show’s actually seeming to get better in those regards.
 
A more consistent over arching plot would be fantastic, though.

I’m tempted to hire navy SEALS to get that pitch bible. Or maybe some ex-CIA spooks. Probably those since they’re better at getting intel without hurting anyone.
 
Maybe they could even get the files or pictures of all of it without even taking it.

Oddly enough I was thinking about the “Faust left, show is ruined” stuff and the crap it stirred up just yesterday. She quit a great gig to pursue some perceived greener pasture that wasn’t out there and ended up in animator obscurity, deal with it.
 
The ironic thing is if she had stuck with MLP a couple more years and made HASBRO enough money coupled with successes of other female creators like Sugar’s had with Steven Universe, Faust might have been able to sell that cosmic super girl hero show idea she hasn’t been able to give away since before MLP was a thing.

Maybe you should see someone, this is bordering on PTSD now. Seriously, get help.
