This is an interesting turn of events, sort of a peak in this series.
 
At the start of the series, Twilight would look at her friend’s lives and think they had better relationships, had more fun, they were more happy, etc.
 
Now we see the truth and I am not sure even Twilight has realized it yet. But she has is now has a better life then them. She is more fulfilled, happy, has a relationship, and a fun life. Now all her friends look at her and maybe think the same things Twilight used to think of them.
 
A complete change, and I guess this series was developing Twilight all along. It just hits peaks and pinnacles at unexpected times, and is one of the reasons I love this series.
 
That last panel showing the others expressions is them all quietly realizing for the first time ever Twilight isn’t the loser of the group anymore.

Aparently Rainbow’s relationship has been retconned without explanation.

…Twilight’s trying too hard with her response. At least Rarity and Rainbow Dash kept it subtle.
