A God loves their children. They will spend months if not years working on one individual, to get every detail perfected and complete so they may live up to their potential.
 
Fausticorn is no different, she was happy to be part of their lives even if only for a short while, however she knew that if mortals knew for a true certainty that the divine exist… No, it would prove too much. The knowledge that there is a God, one that knows all, sees all, and can do all. What is life then? What is the take away? What is meaning to it?
 
No. She realized this. She had to leave. It was for their own good. They needed a reality without her. If she stayed with them then they wouldn’t even try. Why bother when everything can be done by another at the flick of their hoof?
 
Fausticorn in the end did not truly leave them, for she watches forever. Sure they will not remember when their Mother created them, but no one is meant to. Only a handful of beings may recall her face. Two of which will protect the world she created with their lives.

I don’t know why but looking at this makes me incredibly sad.
