So? The show made it apparent that Spike is not a child anymore, just small because dragon bodies grow much slower, well enough. If the Tumblr and soccer mom fraction doesn’t analyze deeply enough to see this, it’s their fault, and DHX and IDW can just be like “Well, bad luck, look closer then.”.  
And what do they want to do? Ranting on their silly, little blogs? No one sees that except for other SJWs in their jerky circle. Spamming the writers with hate tweets? They get blocked faster than they can say “feminist”.  
They can have all of that, the writers do not have to be bothered by this. No one cares for their fear-mongering.

Well Fluttercord get more teaseing than others and even Mike Vogel seem to be really on it. I don’t think tumblr army can convince the writers that Age-gap difference or inter-racial relationships is wrong between two adult characters. It’s like saying that gay couples are disgusting (and Mike Vogel is homsoexual in real life). Unless Show runners care what Trump supporters say, I don’t think there is any reasoning valid to sink FlutterCord (And Vogel also hate Trump)
 
Sparity is a bit more problematic. I can see it as a cute childish crush. It would only work if Spike really grown a bit PHYSICALLY. But being 1000+ older than other adult character was never an issue. Not in Doctor Who, not in Steven Universe and not in Once Upon a Time. I don’t why it owuld be an issue in MLP. As you said, Dislestia shippers make up every kind of shit to attack legitimacy of the more popular pairing.

people make a big deal about discord being +1000 years old pining for somepony hundreds of times younger than him,probably mad dislestia shippers.
 
big jim also got a lot of hate for tweeting that his thoughts of spike being very mature in dragon years to the point of having to delete that tweet,tons of people dont want to let go of “muh baby dragon” meme from back in season 1,most of Lauren Faust’ original visions are invalid,they are very diferent characters now.
 
so they are just gonna be stuck in an endless loop of “will they wont they” ship teasing,they are not going to end it,they wont get sat down and frienzoned and will most definetally wont get diferent official couples for any of them.

Theres nothing stopping writers from shipping FlutterCord. But even if they wanted to ship Spike, they can’t do it unless they make him older.

This make wonder about sparity even it be funny sometimes will they ever end it and build a lot more if they ship him with ember?

At one point the fandom must realise that this ship is not just a delusion. To make sure that I’m not the only madman who see this ship i sometimes watch reaction vids of episodes like Make New Friends But Keep Discord, Dungeon and Discord or S6 finale to see if the viewer react and i’m never dissapinted. Even if they don’t ship it and they are annoyed at the focus, they at least realised that the show is reaching for this ship tease. The fact that the show runner and writer of the s6 finale also ship it work as a nail in the coffin and while it’s not really canon as in “confirmed” it certainly is on the good way to possibly expand it in further seasons. We had “Discord is jealous over Fluttershy episode”, “Discord rescue Fluttershy” episode and now we need “Discord meet Fluttershy’s parents” episode.
