The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

Normal mentally, at least. I’m gonna credit Spike’s return to baby size with the fact he is a mutant magic dragon due to Twilight’s hand in his hatching.

My guess is that the “Hoarding Rage” is temporary, and that once the dragon has collected everything worth collecting, they’ll stash everything away and return to normal. I base this on the fact that Spike got his gifts on his birthday, grew a bit overnight and was still lucid the next morning. In addition, by the time the Wonderbolts attacked him, he had stopped actively grabbing and seemed to be looking for a place to take all his swag. Had he gotten away, he would have eventually returned to normal after everything was stored.

I’m guessing dragons age naturally, albeit slowly. However, if they let their hoarding instincts get the best of them, they grow too fast for their minds to handle and become feral animals.

So am I the only one who was confused by Secret of My Excess? So, dragons age as most animals do and are long-lived… but they can instantly mature and grow when they begin hoarding and go crazy, but the instant they calm down, they shrink and de-age?
