A lot of wasted space, may I crop it and transparent it?

**Lossless transparency;** which means, if you place this image on a white background, you've got the exact same image again. Therefore no loss of information.
Technical details: As the outline is perfect black, and the background is perfect white. This means I can make the black and white into an alpha layer – and changed the white background, and the black-to-white gradient of the outline comepletly black.
