The filly looks for something else she can throw down the hole before the thing emerges but by the time she finds something suitable the ting had already pulled itself into the room.
 
In a desperate attempt, the filly tries to stab the thing with her spear. The filly is not skilled with a spear having only used one once before and misses her target.
 
The strange beast takes hold of the spear as it passes by. While the foal tries to retract her spear the thing in front of her holds firm and a concerning cracking noise comes from her weapon.
