The filly looks down at the lantern lying on the floor below her to see if she can retrieve it before the thing down there catches up. Unfortunately the thing seems to be hot on her trail. The runs the stairs are attached to creak a bit as she travels the rest of the way up, giving her an idea.
 
The small pony give a few decisive kicks to the rungs and successfully disconnects the remaining stairs from the hole she came up from. Looking around the filly spots a chest that she slowly trots over to. On her way she pulls the dolly she found outside out of the hoofbox to cuddle it.
 
As the pony approaches the chest another dark creature dashes out from behind the chest as if it’s been startled. The creature runs to the stairs and disappears at it heads up.
 
Once again alone, the filly attempts to open the chest, but it appears to be locked.
 
The little pony slumps down next to the chest to collect herself.
