Good lord it’s been a long time since I drew Little Pip. Ever. Did I ever draw her? I don’t know: but it’s been a while.
Anyways, decided to go back and re-“read” Fallout: Equestria. As in: I got it on audiobook to listen to while I do work and shit. Got up to and past the chapter with Stable 24 and this is what came to mind.

Stable 99 was dominated by mares before that because stallions started an insurrection long before Blackjack was born, and were put in their place. It’s downfall is entirely unrelated.

I don’t think that was the catalyst for the Stable’s downfall. IIRC, the stable fell because Deus’ army of raiders brought their virus in, which inevitably led to the majority of the stable’s occupants transforming into insane murderers. Deus got in because the overmare had become incredibly paranoid, to the point where she was willing to trust ponies from outside her Stable who claimed to be from StableTec. And, arguably that was the result of her mother (the previous overmare) sexually abusing her when she was young, an act which pretty much everyone turned a blind-eye to due to the overmare’s near absolute power. As for Stable 99, the stallions revolted against the proper order of things, proving they need to be closely watched or they’ll get the notion they can be trusted with an equal say in matters. And Stable 99 gave them everything they needed: plenty of food, mares to have some fun with, free healthcare. Was that not enough for them? Did they really need anything else?

Also, if you want to talk about a Stable being screwed by gender bias, I have one for you: 99.

Pretty much. Equestria is in a war and the Stables are to save its population from nuclear destruction. And all that some stallions think about is social experiments. Don’t they know their place is in the war factories and on the battlefield? Not in office, making all the hard decisions?
