Omg yes! I thought I was the only one who was bothered by that. I actually hate that short for that reason. I don’t find this “black humour” funny. I hoped it will be longer so I can see their concern, but it was supposed to be only funny what disappointed me. I actually never felt like they’re trying to really help/ defend Sunset neither in the movies. They only comforted her when she was feeling down, but never actually helped her (except when Rainbow saved her on the motocross). I don’t really feel like they appreciate her as much as Twilight or any of them. And they keep mentioning her past in each movie. I still feel like they just can’t deal with it completely and deep down still feel something negative/ cold towards her.  
I honestly can’t blame her frustration in FG when no one was able to help her and support her more, instead they just defended both Twilights. I would actually like to see how they would react if it all happened to Twilight.
 
That’s why Sunset is the only thing I care for in the EG franchise.
