Emerald asks what being a shaman for Marjani is like, and when he started to follow her.
“A lot of paperwork. A lot of discussion with other shamans, and a lot of reading old writings and interpreting them. Research into alchemy lore and reagents. To my post specifically, I also have lectures and direct research projects.” the elderly zebra says, “As for when I started to follow Marjani, it was around the time I was having trouble with the Bone-Setting potion I mentioned before. Long story short in my desperation I prayed to her, I got a vision, made my potion, and devoted my life to ‘The smiling one’.”
Emerald asks if the other followers of Zebra gods get on well together.
“We have our differences, and in the past there were certainly blows, but that is behind us now. Hopefully for good.” Bunsen says, shifting his staff in his arms so that he can get through the door to the room with the altar easier.
Emerald asks what it takes to be a follower.
“Oh goodness, that’d be something we’d have to discuss when we had more time.” Bunsen says as the walk into the room with the altar. A few of the Marjani worshippers turn to him and wave. He waves back warmly.
Emerald asks if he has any tips for beginning alchemists.
“Rather than seeing what a potion does, think about what a potion CAN do. Inspiration, quick-thinking, and an open mind are just as important to alchemy as recipes and ingredients are.”
