I would like to see this too.
I actually NEED it to happen.
Well I’d probably still be fine if it didn’t, but oh god how I long for an episode where, no gimmick, no nerfing other characters, no excuses, Spike temporarily grows/taps into his dragon side instinctively as a reaction to seeing Twilight/Starlight/One of the Mane5 hurt or in danger. I don’t care if he doesn’t retain the ability do it at will afterwards, or if he doesn’t remember the experience at all once its over, or whatever. Just a really cool showing that this little guy is, in fact, a goddamn dragon living among ponies, would make me SO incredibly happy.
