Well, this one was certainly quite an effort. Fifteen different carvings on eight different pumpkins (I used both the front and back sides of the pumpkins to minimize the number of pumpkins I would have to purchase and clean out). Each of the eight pumpkins took about 7 hours to complete, and when I factor in the time I spent preparing the patterns, photographing them (I took over 1000 photos before narrowing it down!), and editing the images together, I’m confident that I have at least 75 hours invested in this project.

The scene is based on the magical dancing ponies conjured up by the Spirit of Hearth’s Warming Yet to Come, portrayed by Princess Luna in the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic episode A Hearth’s Warming Tail, during her song in the episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYqcy4tr0Mo

Its….a recreation of a scene from the show though
I was having similar thoughts. You’d need a strobe that activates as each pumpkin reaches the same location. Those pumpkins better be really well secured though. lol
If there were enough pumpkins for that.
what you’d need is like a huge circular table with the middle cut out, and in that middle, something the viewer can sit in where it’ll spin around at the perfect speed so the images will more or less line up in their sight and give the appearance of animation/movement. a reverse zoetrope if you will. or a modified dizzatron without the launching part lol
