They don’t need to make out in the same episode they appeared and i think the main idea was to ship them enough to inspire fanfic writers. If they turned romantic in the same episode, we would have as much fun with it as with Cadance and Shining Armor.
And what gave it away the most was how she was rubbing over his wings when she first hugged him.
That’s not something one does without having romantic feelings. <3

I was referring to fluttercord, but Vapor and Skye were also obviously being ship teased in the episode. The cloud shaped as Sky was the indication.
Or maybe you just don’t know what you’re talking about in terms of romance? What gives you the impression that he just sees what he wants to see rather than you not being able to identify the clues for the feelings that Vapor has for Sky because you have no idea about romance?
Why the drama? It’s true that they are just friends. So far.
As the episode showed, Vapor Trail has a crush on Sky Stinger, and he perhaps on her, but that he is oblivious to her little hints and that she hasn’t confessed to him yet.
They are not a couple yet, so all Vapor Trail can do is referring to them as friends.
This is just the current status of their relationship. No shipping was denied here, there’s no reason to worry about that. :)

We only need people to say that Vapor Trail is pregnant and for that reason she doesn’t ask to Sky Stinger to have a date, like some people in Internet a few days ago over-analized a certain couple of a pony and Draconequus.

I think a major part of fandom is convinced that Zephyr has a crush on Dash but i doubt its the same way with Dash on Zephyr. Her ship with Soarin or Quibble Pants seems more favorable since she actually like them.
When we discuss one sided crushes on ships like ZephyrDash, Sparity and FlutterCord then i think only Fluttershy is capable of returning the feelings.

Personally, I don’t actually despise Timber. As an overall character, he was fine. But his relationship with Twi felt even more forced and unnecessary than Flash’s.
Given that there’s a large part of the fandom convinced Rainbow Dash has a crush on Zephyr Breeze, no one should be surprised that many (if not most) bronies think Sky Stinger is in love with Vapor Trail. As annoying as I find the tendency of fans to ship together anyone who shows affection for each other (or sometimes even when they don’t), there’s definitely more evidence for this couple than most.
