Yeah, used to live in a town that celebrated a festival called Marymass. It was a celebration for when Mary Queen of Scots visited the town one night to stay at its castle. That was back in the 16th Century and they still celebrate it to this day.
Do people still not follow how the coloring works?
… that being said Pencils has been inconsistent with pony coloring himself. Since now he colors all characters even earth ponies unlike the sisters at the start. But the point was, non magical stuff isn’t colored, hence the grey regalia.

Color saturation is used to indicate magic concentration in this comic. Most ponies are duller than they normally appear, while backgrounds and clothing are greyscale. The only creatures at full saturation all the time are Celestia, Luna… and Pinkie Pie.
