Description
Just a simple variant to the monowheel design, this one is actually based on the fixed undercarriage of her namesake plane, Piper Cub.
This rides a lot lower than her other wheel, so ground based activities will be slightly awkward.

I try to mix things usually, the magic I use serving more of a substitute for something that can’t be manufactured to that scale but still similar properties to what it replaces, and requiring a charging period after prolonged use, much like the more advanced prosthetics in the realworld, though a tad bit simpler in upkeep and more durable.
Good name. Although, in Piper’s case, it’d probably be Tendafoot XD
That’s kind kind of the appeal I think, I call it “The Lil’ Brudder Effect”
I’ve been trying to keep the various prosthetic devices fairly simple and mechanical but there’s definitely some modern manufacturing methods in things like Broken Cloud’s hindlegs.
Personally I prefer them mechanical rather than magical, simply because you can get away with a lot more if you can just go Lol, it’s magic! I like to think about some of the technical difficulties they might encounter when designing and building the devices.
That does not stop you from implementing magic into any devices you have planned tho, Rosalyn is the one making most of these, and she’s more of a mechanical wizard rather than a magical one :)
Before I go ahead, how advanced is this Equestria’s metallurgy and Runic magics?
I tend to over think things and want to be on the same page instead of jumping decades ahead of you for obvious reasons.
Go right ahead, looking forward to see your design :D
I actually have an idea, looking at this and a few of the others, I’d like to (poorly)draw out if it’s okay with you?
She wanted the undercarriage painted the same colour as her coat since it’s “Pretty much part of her now” as she tells it :)
