Let’s go watch the movie instead

If you want a copy of the old version of ‘Scary Stores to tell in the Dark’ then you better buy the book now before they stop making copies of it.
 
Turns out that Stephen Gammell’s drawings were way ‘too scary’ for 8 year olds and they were forced to change the drawings in the new version to make it more ‘kid friendly’ upon parents request so they removed all of Stephen Gammell’s drawings in the new version. The stories are still the same, they just changed the drawings.
 
If you want to buy the old version then you better buy them now before they’re out of print. I already got mine.

I really want to know the context of all these illustrations.

Stephen Gammell’s Charcoal pencil contains a core made of pure nightmares.  
I can’t even look at those illustrations without cringing, feeling all my childhood fears well up under my feet like black tar.
