I have tried iced coffee yes, I just don’t like the taste of coffee at all.
Well, that would explain a few things, but again, families back then still could have a litter of 12 kids, all growing up rather well also. I am pretty sure that tolerance has a thing to do with it as well as alcohol and coffee can affect people differently. For instance, I I can drink 24 cans of energy drink a day, go to sleep and sleep just as much as if I didn’t. Sure, in later years, my heart has taken a beating and docs have said to not drink it anymore, but the point is it wasn’t that way, I was able to drink such huge quantities that it wasn’t funny. Alcohol is same thing, so I guess it could affect some people prone to being affected by it, but some turn out alright? I don’t know, I am guessing.
WHAT!?!?!?!? Lies! I
had(stole) a cup of black coffee when I was around 4, finished it, fell in love with it,married it, andnevermind, and tried to get the (90% full) coffee pot for like 15-20 minutes before my mom realized what was happening, at the same moment I knocked it down and tried licking the floor to drink the remaining coffee, WHAT? I WAS FOUR!!!!Ah right, that makes sense
It all comes down to the taste buds, yo. Not everybody enjoys bitter things, but some do, including some kids.
Again, it’s why I can eat limes like they’re oranges.
“Little kids never like coffee” …riiight.
It is shown to increase risk of miscarriage… which was pretty damn common in previous centuries anyway. They just wouldn’t have known why they miscarried and there wouldn’t have been the stats to suggest it was a high caffeine intake. Never mind it would’ve been more expensive so the average person wouldn’t have had as much.
As for the alcohol, yes, women used to drink smaller quantities of it during pregnancy. But again, it likely caused a range of issues that few could directly attribute to the alcohol use since everyone was drinking.
ever tried iced coffee?
also, the reason why coffee became so popular was because the industries were growing and people worked longer and harder days, I’ve seen a show about the statistics. our obsession with coffee was due to our obsession with work
Isn’t the tongue a strange muscle?
Also, I have been thinking of something. Coffee has existed in france since the early 1700’s, meaning they drank coffee through at least 9 generations, and theey turned out alright, just as everyone in europe turned out well with alcohol being drunk during pregnancy because water wasn’t clean enough to drink since the middle ages, they drunk beer mostly, that’s 1000 years of beer drinking pregnancies, 3000+ generations of beer drinking during said pregnancies and first during the 1900’s they come and say that it’s bad. We’re getting less and less hardy for each generation it seems.
Regular creamer is fine. I immediately lost my taste for Irish cream. The stuff is just….eurgh.
Hyped up on caffeine and sugar?
…. go on.
