Description

Just Dash chillin’ in her shades My submission for Equestria Daily’s Newbie Artist Training Grounds VI 2016, Day 1!Today’s theme was “Draw a pony standing / Draw a pony chilling”. And, naturally, I’ve attempted to incorporate both I decided I’d participate in NATG again this year. This time I’m real determined to make a submission each day, but I know I’m going to have trouble because I’m currently in University However! I do have a holiday break in a week … just … this week before then is kinda’ … busy But I shall do my best! For this submission I’m pretty happy with how it came out. I decided I’d chose something relatively simple (though I haven’t actually drawn a pony standing upright before, so it was interesting to give that a go) and I probably will be doing that for each of these submission because I want to make sure I know I can actually make a submission each day if possible. One complaint (among a couple) is that I feel like her muzzle is slightly off, and her head maybe a tad big … though poniz head’s are actually quite large compared to their bodies, so it’s possible it’s actually about right.Another thing that bugs me is the colour balance, but that’s mostly due to having to upload a photo of a drawing Wish I still had a scanner, but oh well, what can ya’ do Back in the day of my first NATG I’d give a huge list basically analyzing my own submission. The main idea was for helping with self improvement, but it was also kinda’ fun (Perhaps Twilight’s influence toward an affinity for lists). But I don’t think I’ll do that this time, again for the sake of simplicity (making it easier on myself). But anyhoof, that’s all for now
