So, when this comic was first revealed, I actually suggested that same headcanon to folks on a comment section.

And I still stand by it. Rarity’s weirded out by the dumb plush, but she doesn’t want to insult Spike, so she gives it to Sweetie Belle instead of trashing it.

Head-canon: Spike actually made this plushie for Rarity after she gave him the Rarity plush she made. Rarity ended up giving it to her little sister because she thought swapping plushies was just a little too weird.
