Restored Potrait of Discord of Draconequus, taken during the Great War
This suggestion is nice, because it gives me an instance where I can tell about my headcanon about Humane!Discord. I still stands with my headcanon that “Principal Celestia is just elvis-ing the real humane!Celestia” aka she’s just a principal that happens to be a Queen Celestia XII lookalike and tribute performer. Her real name is Sunny Skies and she came form Las Pegasus.
Now, with the real Celestia counterpart still serves as a line of monarchs that governs Humanestria / Humane!Equestria, I can put Humane!Discord in a role that most people would forget, which is, a crazy dictator!
Thankfully, this all happened a long time ago, and Queen Celestia X is the one that managed a coup de tat against his crazy reign, and restore the Celestia//Luna bimonarch system again! Hurrah!
You can still see an antique, full body statue of Discord of Draconequus in the palace garden by Canterlot. Think about it as a spoil of war from days gone by.
Oh and Eris(es) are Discord’s personal female bodyguards. The requirement to become Erises are tough, especially the part where your face must be maimed and reconstructed in order to match the appearance of the “Lord of Chaos” himself.. as Erises true protocol are meatbags to buffer potential assassins.

Why not? Nazi Germany also had a supreme court. So did the soviet union and pretty much every other autocratic nation.
Of course many things were just for show. If the government wants to get rid of you, you will be declared guilty. You always were. You never had a chance.
Why would an autocratic dictatorship have a Supreme Court, wouldn’t they just have a higher up declare them guilty and then send them to the death camps?
So she helped Celestia X giving some plans with the lie that she wants to end the tyranny by moral commitment. Because of her misfortune, Discord discovered the betrayal of what she was prosecuted to see what to do with her, first she had an interrogation to know why she was going to betray, answering her inferiority complexes, to what her cousin thought of a new form of torture, mutilate and recreate her face to look similar to her cousin to prove the point that she is nothing without him. That reconstruction of the face was the origin of the idea of the Erises, having that name in honor of his cousin.

Hmm. Good point. Military dictatorships aren’t exactly well known for their orderly societies and strong rule of law.
Yeah, this is the feel that Im aiming for. No offense to all parties IRL, but there are a lot of tales from that region that gives a storng impression of chaotic rule. He might have military, but it was such a unorganized state where everyone is against one another, with unrest and unhappiness all over.

Im just trying to translate Discord’s reign before Celestia and Luna take him down, and powerful military is how’d I translate his demi-godlike powers. The physics teacher at CHS is most likely his great-great-grandson.. of his clone, which of course, gives the original Humane!Discord another mark on his crime against Humaneity

He is definitely eccentric, yes. He is highly superstitious, and demands weird things according to his whims and irrational musings. Probably not paint-the-whole-country level, but Grand Banananarama Empire is definitely a thought he once brought up to the cabinet meeting.
Of course after the coup, there was of course a power vacuum. That was when Sombra stepped in as ruler. His reign was long and he went down as their most brutal dictator in history, known today as El Bailarin de la Muerte.
Well, he did also rename the nation Bananarama and made the national anthem Venus. His policies mainly involved repainting the entire nation into a single colour, changing which colour it was whenever he felt like it.
Agreed. This is Sombra’s shtick. I usually cast human Discord as a physics teacher at CHS. The universe can get pretty darn crazy when you start peeking under the hood.
