Act trueally, - the file size isn't considered at all. Resolution, artifacts, file type, watermarks, the artist's own statements about the images - those things matter a lot. File size isn't even looked at.
In fact, off hand I don't even know if the file that remains is larger or smaller - I've never even looked at the size of the files when comparing duplicates.
