Description

15 years ago today, over 3000 men, women, children (some still unborn), and first responders of all faiths were murdered by extremists for who they were, their beliefs, and for holding their rights dear. 15 years later, I remember coming out of my room just as the second plane hit on live television. I remember, for the first time, seeng my father crying as he told me that my cousin, a paramedic, had been found in the rubble.

15 years later, I still remember it all.

And I will never forget.

Then don’t cheer on the US military

I never implied anything of that. I’m not cheering for the US military. That’s a whole other can of worms as to why. The point: no one should be praising the tragedies of the past that resulted in civilian deaths. Imagine yourself in the perspective of a stockbroker or flight passenger. Not going to continue this discussion further with you. Agree to disagree. This BP has said it’s peace. Good day to you.

And I want to forget how that proclaimed ‘beautiful fireworks display’ looked. Terrorism should not be praised.

We (America) used Bin Laden to fight the Russians in Afgahnistan and trained many of the terrorists we fought against they used the tactics we taught them against us which included taking hostages and torture, Bin Laden was used by America as a figure head for peace in the middle east and America ended up making things harder for them and they revolted some of it was justified some of it wasn’t Bin Laden led the campaign against America and then they responded with 9/11. Basically we gave them the skills and resources to do 9/11 it was a dog biting the hand that feeds it situation.

Exactly. Ordinary people like them deserve to be remembered.

On a slightly funnier(?) note regarding 9/11 and me, I think there was someone on my dad’s side who worked in one of the towers, but stayed home that day.

They saved many lives through their sacrifice. They didn’t sign up to be heroes. They weren’t trained, indoctrinated, or expected to be heroes. They simply stepped up and were.

And for that they are to be honored.
