Probably. The more people that have that piece of paper, the less valuable it will be( doesnt make you stand out as much either).
>national investment that eventually pays for itself
True. It’s one of the reasons I think it’s awesome.
>free education
False. Air is free. Sunlight is free. Government-funded stuff isn’t free. You and other people are paying for it. Yes, sometimes it’s absolutely worth it, but it doesn’t make it free.
Trixie: We’ve got a bit of a problem here.
Gilda: (looks at the bomb defusing robot) What kind of operating system are you using?
Trixie: Uh…Vista.
Gilda: (panicked look at Gabby) WE’RE GOING TO DIE!
High School diplomas used to be as valuable as a college education is now.
I can’t help but wonder if all this will do is devalue college degrees, thus making it so that if you want any decent jobs, you have to work even harder to get a stupid piece of paper, first.
And if 50 years from now people will argue the same thing they’re arguing for college degrees - for graduate degrees.
Considering a highly educated workforce is an economic asset, having free education is more of a national investment that eventually pays for itself.
Finally we just have up and setup a In-Home appointmemt, but she kept on asking questions and seeing if we could get an online session startedwhileI was doing this.
Towards the end she did thank me for my patience, sighs but it was still a stressful last call.

I’m not a big fan of socialism, but
free educationhaving other taxpayers pay for your education is awesome.Get an education. Preferably degree level.
If you’re going to have your soul sucked out, at least let it be quick :q

Same, except i live in a first world country and pretty much 95% of that money goes for rent. In a few years my savings(from the time i got welfare) will be gone, i just hope i will be able to find something better by then
@EquestrianScholar
Hahahaha.
HAHAHAHA.
I wish I had 40 hours a week. I get maybe 32 if I’m lucky. For almost 9 years now, still dicking me along with part time. And for more than two dollars an hour less than that after all this time. Retail customer service. So I get the stupid phonecalls AND the face-to-face verbal abuse.
I get paid a little less than $3 per hour, 44 hours a week, but I live on a third world country so that’s actually one of the best paid jobs over here so I have that going on for me, which is nice.
Damn…I worked at Taco bell with less money and hours (and days) on a bi-weekly pay rate myself for like 5 months
40 hours a week, $10.50 an hour for Geek Squad tech support. My money still seems to be gone in just a couple of days. Worst, I get paid bi-weekly.
