The point of the episode was that Gabby found her purpose in life. At that point, whether or not she actually got a cutie mark was irrelevant.
Which is a really good callback to “Crusaders of the Lost Mark”: The CMCs didn’t get their cutie marks until they admitted to themselves that trying to find a cutie mark wasn’t as important to them as trying to help other ponies (in that case Diamond Tiara) with theirs.
