Aww! That’s… really nice of you to do! I feel like artists don’t get nearly enough written works in honor of what they do. Truth be told, the opposite also applies; I love seeing artwork directly inspired by fanfiction scenes; always interesting how vivid of a picture someone can create from the written word.

While I wouldn’t object to seeing one if he felt like doing one, I would personally never encourage anyone who didn’t voluntarily do comics to do so because I have had my desire to draw thoroughly killed on at least three occasions when I took on commissions that involved either comics or huge group pictures. Hats off to those people who can do them and enjoy them, I find them soul-crushing to make.

I just realized how much I want a picture of GMHAA’s more menacing looking friends giving him a lecture on being too trusting after saving him from some sort of actually dangerous monster.

That’s the driving reason behind why GMHAA is just so trusting and accepting of these creatures. The ponies are products of their environment where monster = different = bad, while GMHAA can have a sphinx pop by to spend the night or a goo pony visit him on fridays for coffee, and not see that as any more different or intimidating as helping an all powerful alicorn who could think him to death, or bumping into the physical embodiment of chaos itself in the street.
 
And of course, most of them are intelligent and emotional creatures, just often with different social ques or norms. Lamias like Kalianne aren’t native to Equestria and so are rare and feared / misunderstood, goo ponies simply prefer life in wild areas as oppossed to towns because nothing is really a threat to them so they don’t need safety in numbers and infrastructure, sphinxes are simply too big to live easily in a town and are migratory by nature, etc etc.
 
I will stress there are bad and/or dangerous monsters in my continuity though, and GMHAA’s just simply not encountered one.

Now that would look pretty interesting on a snake-like body….

The creature ponies being safe for the most part makes sense to me: consider that they’re actually no stranger or more dangerous than the regular ponies in the show. Twilight Sparkle can turn everyone into potted plants with a thought if she wants. We know an elementary schooler who could bench-press the Empire State Building. A snake pony… has a tail. I know who scares me more! Why should one strange being of crazy power be any worse than the others, especially when the others are higher on the potential danger scale by far?

That’s the logic behind most of these creatures I draw being passive or even friendly. On one hand they’re monsters capable of some serious stuff, but they’re also thinking and emotional creatures. Like with Kalianne she has deadly venom and a powerful body, but she’s also friendly, intelligent, and social. Even if you made her angry she’s not going to just lash out at you.
 
That logic’s also what makes goo ponies, in my headcanon, entirely passive and harmless. They only eat fruit and sweets, nothing preys on them, and it’s near impossible to harm them. Being like that for years has made them gentle and friendly because they’ve never had any reason to be afraid of or fight anything, or even show aggression.

I do, I just like that one better because to me it looks like someone just did something for her that made her happier than ever before, which is what Pinkamena needs more than anything else.
