It only costs 5 mana if you have a deck built to get the right cards into your graveyard. I saw it cast a lot in tournament back when Eldritch Moon came out.

stasis snare when is already in the battlefield but the ability is still on the stack. besides, people rarely cast it so the ability doesnt trigger
