I think the author might want to slow down a bit here. I mean, this feels like an almost excessive amount of tragedy to cram all into one page.

If by “alternate lifestyles” you mean “man/boy love”…
Seriously, it’s hard to see this story line as anything other than an apologia for Root’s pedophilia.
I get it what the author was aiming at, he honestly was trying to promote alternate lifestyles, and understanding, but it’s very hard not to see it making excuses at this point.
Apologies to the author who probably thinks that he talks about important topics.
