I always love it when shows put in little references to other things. To me, it's a sign the show writers are having fun when making their shows.


 
This show is a prime example. To list a few, My Little Pony referenced Metal Gear Solid, Bob Ross, The Legend of Zedlda, and even G3 Ponies.
