I was done hitting my head against a wall here, anyway. :P
Frankly I don’t care about tag system at this point since this site operates on it for too long and I probably won’t search for tags other then author name because it’s inconvenient for me.
My only actual statement was scepticism about ponies talking with each other called shipping, hugs called lesbian ect.
diamondbloom implies apple bloom, diamond tiara, lesbian, shipping
On this site, that means that an image tagged with diamondbloom will automatically inherit those other tags.
If you think that implication or the definition of any of those tags needs to change, or feel that Apple Bloom and Diamond Tiara being in a relationship together would be something other than a lesbian relationship, here is a thread where you can argue your case.
In the meantime, if you do not like Apple Bloom and Diamond Tiara being portrayed as being in a lesbian relationship, add “diamondbloom” to your filters.

Please take it to a PM or the forums, and stop derailing this image’s comments.
Maybe because they are not important?
And I initially said “soldier/warrior” and being jungling since then you dull unattantive fella. And this is not important either.
You named several “if”’s yourself, and in this case “the artist’s opinion takes precedence.”
Gotta “love” how you just gloss over important details and ignore every point Ciaran and I make…
But anyway – wrong.
The “military pony” could very well be a fresh recruit that hasn’t seen a second of actual combat, or s/he could be a peacetime recruit that – obviously – hasn’t seen a second of actual combat.
Case in point, military service is ^(semi-)^mandatory for men of sound mind and body in my country.
By your – ahem – reasoning, my nine-month peacetime stint as an army car pool clerk makes me a “professional killer” despite having never been in combat and having never fired a shot at a person (or other living thing, for that matter) – only practice targets.
Read carefully: murder - not murderer.
@Exhumed Legume
The fact that the pony is a warrior implies he is professional killer not less then two girls hugging implies this is lesbian. And in that case artist’s opinion takes preference.
Something like simply standing at attention in parade uniform wouldn’t even come anywhere near even beginning to qualify, no matter what the artist says:
diamondbloom implies apple bloom, diamond tiara, lesbian, shipping
To support this, the artist said;
So the diamondbloom and shipping tags are supported by the artist’s comments.
@kwendy
If the artist said the figure in the art was a murderer and tagged the image “murderer” then yes. And if someone else came along and said; “No, you can’t tag this murderer even if the artist says so because I don’t like it” then the artist’s intention would win.
If on the other hand you go around tagging all images with military ponies in it “murderer”, then hopefully someone would report you for tag vandalism.

No, that’s not close enough. My initial statement was - we see ponies hugging, but author says they are porking off screen, so we tag it lesbian.
Consequently we see military pony and tagging it murder as author said pony killed someone.
Note that it only applies to ambiguous cases.
The hug could be just friendly, but the little heart sorta kinda implies otherwise and the “word of god” is that it’s shipping, so
lesbian
it is.It’s more than just tradition, it’s part of an actual rule – presumably to avoid disputes like this one :P – as Ciaran already pointed out.
As for your example, the rule is more akin to tagging an image with a character that could reasonably be either dead or unconscious, as
death
if the artist clarifies that the character is dead.This maybe a tradition here, but not makes much sence to me. It’s like tag “death” every picture with soldier/warrior on it. Does not help to either those who search for cuddles nor those who search for lesbian horses. Defeats the purpose for tags so to say IMO.
Sorry, my mistake. e621 is a “tag only what you see, not what the artist says” site, so I thought you were quoting their rules.
The point remains though, here what the artist says wins.
Just to clarify: I have no idea what e621 is nor intend to find it out.
This isn’t e621.
For images where the theme of an image may not be 100% clear, or may be subject to debate (for example, friendships vs shipping), the artist’s opinion takes precedence

Just saying, there’s context – the tag wasn’t pulled out of thin air, just because “hugging = lesbian” or whatever.
What we see - not what we told of.
Well, the artist does ship these two, and the description at the source is
