>Why do we give citizenship to the children of foreign criminals who sneak into our country?
Because they’re “subject to the jurisdiction thereof”. Unless you want to give undocumented immigrants diplomatic immunity.
Except not everyone born within US borders is a citizen. Children of foreign diplomats born in American hospitals are not accorded US citizenship. They are diplomats, here with the legal permission of the US government and the American people. Why do we give citizenship to the children of foreign criminals who sneak into our country?
>but muh 14th Amendment
had no bearing on the citizenship of Native Americans who were non-citizens until they were granted US citizenship under the Snyder Act of 1924.
Birth right citizenship is a bogus context, created out of thin air by activist Leftist judges who wish to help the Democrats import a new population that will vote for them, since white people won’t. Mass population replacement is, according to the UN, genocide.
>but muh Great Replacement conspiracy theory
Ten years ago when Obama and Eric Holder were publicly gloating about “the browning of America” it was public knowledge that it was public policy. It didn’t become a “conspiracy theory” until White people noticed and objected to being colonized, marginalized, driven out of the lands of their ancestors, replaced, and exterminated.
It’s called birthright citizenship, and the reason it’s not BS is because of the 14th Amendment. People were trying to play games with whether Black Americans were citizens and we said, “Everyone born within the borders is a citizen, period, stfu.”
The UK has birthright citizenship if one of the parents is a legal resident.
I forget the name of it but that definitely sounds like that one former law in the US where if an illegal immigrant has a kid in the country he’s not allowed to be in, the kid gets to stay. Kind of BS really.
Not how it works.
So multicultural country.
The article you linked is quite biased though. “If denied, Renzi’s government will most likely fall”. This is just bringing bad luck. Renzi recently said he won’t quit if he loses the constitutional referendum, and his party will carry on supporting him. Also, Italy is recovering from the crisis, even tough too slowly.
Personally I don’t think Europe’s most compelling problem is the weak growth of Italy or Greece (a problem that must be faced anyway). Today, the real problems of EU are political: the anti-EU populist right-wing leaders, who are weak in Italy, but very strong in France (Marine Le Pen), in Austria (Norbert Hofer), in Hungary (Viktor Orbán).
I think that the next real threats to the existence of European Union won’t come from Italian banks, but rather from the Austrian presidential election and the Hungarian referendum about EU’s-migrant-quotas of October.
hot panty shot btw

Good luck.

, and besides, it’s Italy that’s really going to fuck up the EU should the reform vote go the wrong wayThat’s precisely what I was going for. %D
Oh wow! That’s simultaneously both funny and tasteless!
