@Tragiclady Key Sync is Parcly’s thinking module; when she’s sleeping she resides in the expected place, and Parcly uses her neurons. When she’s awake the third eye appears and she can hover outside, with Parcly’s body using the neurons as needed.
 
Hence there are two ways Parcly can do things while asleep: either she works in her lucid dream (Key Sync inside) or Key leaves the body to pursue things in the real world. The two methods alternate, since Key can get tired like any other brain and Parcly needs to work with real ponies sometimes.

Exactly as the description says, Key Sync is the name of Parcly Taxel’s brain, and here she is enjoying some fast food.
