Soltarn Vull Bronn.
I’m not really annoyed, I’m just busting your chops.
Yeah….
Sorry….
Still, there’s FAR more to those stories than that. I can’t actually remember which short compilation book that one with the fortress is in.
Currently ploughing my way through the novel “Vengeful Spirit” (The name of Horus’ flagship). Not a bad read so far.
Thanks for the unmarked spoilers of the books I clearly stated I own and haven’t gotten to yet.
The bit where an Iron Warriors marine saves Guilliman and Lion ElJohnson is in the book “Unremembered Empire”. There’s also a part in one of the compilation books where a faction of Iron Warriors that stayed loyal hold an underground fortress for over a year against the traitors. That finishes with them blowing up the fortress and taking out an entire titan legion in the process.
I actually own several of them but haven’t gotten started on them yet… and don’t know where they are in the giant mess I call my room.
Whilst that is true of the Primarch Perturabo, and a sizeable chunk of the legion, a lot of the Iron Warriors legion remained loyalist. If you read through the Horus Heresy novels, the loyal Iron Warriors caused an untold amount of trouble for those that turned traitor. (Including saving 2 of the Primarchs, (Guilliman and… I think it was Lion El Johnson), from an assassination attempt by Conrad Curze).
that should prove how bad of a heresy it is.
Iron Warriors are a traitor legion, though.
“…Heresy.”
