Probably can’t tell to well which pony is who without the color though so–Rarity/Widowmaker: Rarity could make a really good Symmetra, but I feel she makes an equally good Widowmaker. She most readily makes for the femme fatal vibe, and has a penchant for sprinkling french into her speech.*Fluttershy/Mercy:*This is an obvious match up. Between the fact that Fluttershy is a confirmed medic (at least for animals), and Mercy’s yellow/gold color scheme, it’s hard to imagine a better match. They’re both some flavor of pacifists too.Twilight/Symmetra: They share a preoccupation with order, almost obsessively so. Plus Symmetra’s light constructs almost look overtly like magic. Rarity could have made a good Symmetra too, but considering she’s more artistic than obsessive-compulsive, I felt Twilight was a better fit.So as usual, Patrons get to vote on which of these gets colored this month. The trick is, I kinda want to eventually color all of these (and the rest of the Mane 6/crossovers eventually). I’m trying to figure out how to handle that with my Patron. Maybe make the votes apply to the order these get done–but continue to do unrelated sketches on the side? Your thoughts on the subject, as well as feedback on the art are appreciated.
oh yes! beefspike would make a perfect Reinhardt!
Spike the Brave, obviously. Knight-and-dragon theme, throws fire, bigger than pretty much everyone.

I would have to agree with you on Rainbow/Pharah. They seem like a good matchup with backstory and motif. I can really see RD flying around with a rocket launcher.

Nice. If you or someone else ever makes a D.va Dash (or D.she for short)short, it would be the greatest day I’ve ever had. Another option for her mecha is basing it off of .MOVs R-dash 5000. And lastly, both D.vas suit and EQG Dash’s outfit have the same colors. I also agree with her being an entertainer, something which the wonderbolts are, and Dash wanting to be a part of them. Some of her quotes also sound like something Dash would say. Tracer is far more like Pinkie, with her cheery attitude and just zipping in and out of places quickly, and as for Phara, i also agree with. Although her being a bit serious, I see her fit as spitfire. As for their flight, Phara just gets a high boost and flies similar to a jetpack, while D.va’s acts more of a jet. Yes its simply a boost, but in one of the tralers, she’s clearly seen flying directly to a giant robot.
Zarya is actually a pretty good Dash in all those aspects, right down to the competitive streak, though Zarya is very strength oriented, while Dash is more about agility. They’d have contradicting bodytypes, and I’d have to resolve that in some way.

Eh possibly, I don’t get the impression D.va is actually all that competitive, on an emotional level. She’s more an idol/celebrity/personality whose medium is video games, and playing them well; But she doesn’t really ACT competitive so much as she acts like an entertainer–that’s my impression anyway. And while the boost is fast, it’s not really D.va’s signature ability, and is only able to keep up with Tracer in the short term. Tracer is by far more mobile overall. And calling her boost “flying” seems awfully generous use of the term. However, if one considers giving her mecha a tortoise aesthetic, referencing Tank–there is certainly potential analogy there.
Also, it’s harder to get a straighter analogue than Button Mash as D.va, which was what I was originally thinking.
Both ideas definitely have potential though. I’ll have to think it over.

Y’all are also forgetting another flight capable character and has everything that matches Dash in everything.
And a quote I made a while back.
I feel like the only one who sees Dashie as D.va. They both have competative attitudes and want to win. Both have the ability to fly, and making her mech resemble her pony self or Tank would be pretty badass. Tracer’s fast, yes, but I’ve seen veteran D.va players outdo Tracers with her flight/boost ability, which is pretty quick. And to top it all off, mix the mechs flight ability with its detonation ultimate, and you’ve got yourself a comparison for her sonic rainboom.
OH i just realized, Dash would fit Zarya pretty good, Athletes who chose duty to those they care about over their love of their chosen sports Blue color in their schemes and colorful hair,
Hrm, that’s a pretty good argument. I’ll have to think about what Dash would be, if not Pharah then.
It mostly plays into Sunny also having Wings as her major motif ever since my past is not today, and both her and Pharah have a complex relationship with a maternal figure, and both leaning more towards disciplined personality, Dash i feel would be better using herself from the Sombra timeline for Soldier 76 since he fits her Anti hero persona and still brings the blue, or as others have noted D.Va,

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think that Rainbow Dash would make for a better Pharah, in spite of my earlier TracerDash drawing. Both RD and Pharah have had an adoration of a super-elite team, and an interest in join them: Overwatch and the Wonderbolts, respectively. They also both fly and are mostly blue. It kinda works out well, because the Overwatch characters with wings in their design, Pharah and Mercy, end up both being the pegasi of the Mane 6, RD and Flutters.
I’m totally willing to hear your Pharah/Sunset argument though.
Hope when the time comes you will make the Right call and have Sunset as Pharah,

I know you already did Dashie, but will you ever do one of her as D.va? You’d be surprised just how similar those two are.
No real need to establish an order to them, just do whichever ones you fancy.
As for the other Mane 6… well, I guess you’ve already been asked to do AJ as McCree. And Pinkie as Junkrat. Big Mac as Roadhog, maybe?
